My Students

My students are the hardest working students in my school district. Never is there a project or activity that they will not do their best on. Every day, they try their best to work toward college readiness.

Dedicated and hard working are the words that describe my class.

They come to school rain or shine. The majority of students in my school are on reduced or free lunch. The neighborhood consists of generational homes and many students are raised by grandparents. Given all this, they are hardworking scholars.

My Project

My students year started off like never before ! We were affected by Hurricane Harvey and it seems as if we just never got off on the right foot. I have a very energetic and hard working class of boys and girls.

Many of the supplies my students had were destroyed during Hurricane Harvey or their parents were not able to buy them because of Harvey.

I have purchased as many supplies as I can but there are some things I just cant replace constantly.

I don't think that my students should be penalized because of an act of nature so I have taken it upon myself to have the most energized learning spot in town ! We would appreciate the basic items requested to help us to continue to be college ready !We are constantly using pencils and we could use extra ones all the time. In class we create anchor charts,maps, and assignments using markers. During station time we often use the computer and If we are awarded the requested items you will see pictures of students engaged and learning. Our Math block is going to be engaging and a great learning experience with the pencils, markers, and CDs.
