My students need two textbook libraries for our class library.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Hall's classroom raised $285
This project is fully funded
I teach a class of 15 at-risk four and five year old children in a high poverty school in North Carolina.
Most of my students have never been in a school setting. They lack the exposure of a classroom learning environment. My classroom is set up with learning centers. My students really enjoy our library center but we are in need of books.
My students are in desperate need of books to continue to enhance literacy skills. Recent budget constraints within our school district has dictated a financial picture that includes no funding whatsoever for classroom supplies. The school district is simply not able to provide books that are critical to literacy development.
With your help, you will make it possible for my students to continue to learn the importance of literacy. Having access to books is one of the most important avenues to get a child interested in reading. Picture books allow them to tell their own story, which leads to teaching them to look at pictures to decode unknown words in high grades when learning to read. Your contribution would help my students develop a love for books and reading.
