My Project
Every morning I read a picture book to my students. My students thrive on our daily read aloud--it helps us build our literacy skills, social emotional skills and gives us strong, collective experiences. These picture books will give my students an outlet for their imaginations, feelings and satisfy our need for normalcy.
This school year has been eventful and challenging and extremely rewarding.
My students have experienced so much and, yet, every day they show me how resilient they are.
There are so many amazing books in this project, such as: "Blue Bison Needs a Haircut," "Nigel and the Moon," and the Mother Bruce series (hilarious!).
These are books that we need in our classroom. Students will be able to see themselves represented and put themselves in others' shoes as they listen to these books. My students will be inspired, engaged and positively impacted.
