My students need good information and articles from Scholastic News to help increase the rigor in our classroom.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Barnes's classroom raised $252

My Students
My class this year has enjoyed learning about the community and things going on around them in the world. They also have an interest in learning things that happened in the past to change the way things happen in the world and community nowadays because of these changes. We have a very diverse community with many different backgrounds.
We enjoy reading and getting to know about different environmental and community activities through reading articles in news weeks we received this year and Google information.
My students love to search for information and new facts about the world around them.
My Project
With the help of Scholastic News my students will get real life information and historical information to help them become more educated about the world around them.
This helps my students become more aware of the world around them past, present, and future.
The opportunity that the Scholastic News gives me to put more rigor into my teaching helping the students to gain a better knowledge of things.
The students also learn how to tell the difference between different types of writing style and learning how to get the information from the text to answer not only the questions asked about the articels but, maybe questions they might have had about the topic they were reading.
