I am a first year teacher at Chinqapin Elementary School in rural, eastern North Carolina. I have the joy of teaching third grade students reading, writing, language arts, health, science, math, and social studies. Our school's budget for new materials is limited, and I do not have an assistant to aid me in making new, innovative materials for classroom instruction. I have already spent a great deal of money and time this year assembling items my students need in order to learn more effectively.
I strongly encourage my students to become avid readers and writers. Using small group instruction can greatly increase the results of student progress due to more personal attention and better assessment of mastered skills. The difficulty of working with students in small separated groups is engaging the rest of the class in meaningful activities.
The "Frog System" provides a unique product that would greatly benefit our classroom. I am requesting the READING & LANGUAGE SET LEVEL C product from the FROG PUBLICATIONS COMPANY. This system is a ready-to-use learning center with twenty-five activities and games for skill mastery in Language Arts. Each game focuses on a single important skill like Homonyms, Possessives, Pronouns, and Verb Tense. Students can play independently while I work with a pulled group on a specific skill. Game boards, game pieces, and skill specific questions come with each activity. Thank you for your help!
