"What's that smell?" That's the question I'll hear once my students have frogs!
I have students that are very eager to look inside a frog to see actual organs.
Dissection is an activity that students expect in science and why shouldn't they? Most people remember dissecting frogs in science. Dissection can spark many careers in the medical and animal science fields and provides a hands-on knowledge of organ placement.
My Project
"Guess what we did in science today!" I want my students to go home full of excitement as they explain the procedure for dissecting and everything they learned. This is an activity that can cause many to become interested in science. And, it gives their younger siblings something to look forward to in 7th grade.
Dissecting frogs is almost a right of passage for 7th graders.
This lab will be something they will never forget. It truly helps them understand human organs after seeing the organs of a frog.
