it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a K-8 music teacher who works on a cart, my students are always extra excited when I can bring them instruments. Through DonorsChoose we were recently able to get a class set of Boomwhackers, which have been an incredible addition to our music classes! However my students are always asking me about other instruments, like recorders, drums, and more. As I plan for the next school year, I am hoping to scaffold their musical learning with more hands-on experiences.
By donating to this project, you will give over 300 4th and 5th graders the opportunity to play recorders.
You will also help provide a class set of rhythm instruments that will be used in Kindergarten through 8th grade. My students are already a passionate group of kids, and giving them opportunities to play a variety of instruments will only help their love of music grow!
