My Project

In my first-grade classroom, we enhance our regular literacy curriculum with songs, poems, finger plays, puppet shows, storytelling, and theater! My young learners especially love using rhythm sticks to tap along with songs, music, chants, and shared readings. Having these special materials can turn an ordinary lesson into a chance to practice the performing arts as well!

Immersing ourselves in words and language in a fun and active way, helps everyone stay engaged and participate in learning!

Please help us add some joy to our literacy time by funding these quality materials so we can get the rhythm and beat into our day!
