This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a Title I-funded school, meaning at least 40% of the families in our school are considered low income. The Title I-funding policy is "committed to closing the achievement gap between low-income students and other students" per U.S. Department of Education.

Fourth and second graders are such an exciting group with mixed interests and abilities.

Our students have one thing in common, their love for animals!

These materials will help Rex, our bearded dragon, have a larger tank for when he is not basking in the sun during regular school hours. We got Rex when he was just a baby and purchased a small tank. Fortunately for Rex, he is now a fully grown, adult, bearded dragon and needs a bigger home when not in school.
