This year, I have 8 wonderful Kindergarten students who are ready to begin reading! They are fun-loving, inquisitive, smart, and willing to learn. They are hands on, and would love to get their hands on books that are at their level, and will peak their interest.
My students deserve to have new books that they can flip through over and over again, that they can have success with.
Students who can read simple texts as beginning readers will have the confidence to try harder texts. These kids love being able to hold books in their hands!
My Project
Easy readers are books that have predictable patterns on each page, so students can feel successful as they read. These books are leveled so all students can feel successful. I am especially looking forward to using the Science Guided Reading books to incorporate reading into our science lessons!
Kindergarteners need to feel successful with reading, and the only way they can do that is to have books that are at their level.
Having leveled readers will allow students to progress at their pace. These books also are all one brand, so they will be familiar with the set up. The colored storage cart will be nice to have, with each level having it's own color!
