Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The items I am requesting are 100% for fun and rewards! Young children thrive on receiving positive reinforcement and rewards for their hard work whether it be for academics or behavior. For many years, I fought against the prize box idea, hating the idea of purchasing objects on a constant basis. This year, I gave in and immediately saw the benefit. This project will provide several years of first graders motivating prizes to thrive!
I want to blast my students away with rewards, motivation and fun!
Not only will this project provide sooooo many prizes, but also an amazing fun event. I have included supplies for a "GLOW PARTY". This project includes black lights and supplies that will benefit several years of excited, amazing first graders.
My students come from a primarily poverty driven community. Many of the students are new to the country and have many challenges in their lives. I want to make sure that school is a place that they can celebrate their accomplishments and have legitimate fun and enjoy being kids.
