My Project
My students have been working hard at learning! This is their first year in kindergarten and they are in need of having an amazing first year!
The first year in kindergarten is crucial for lifelong learning!
This reason is the sole reason that I want to make my classroom warm and inviting! Giving them rewards can help them engage with learning in a positive way! I want to use these rewards for end-of-the-week bucket filling! Each student will have a bucket and have chances to fill their bucket with pom poms by doing good work, transitioning quickly, getting class compliments from other teachers, or completing homework. There are tons of ways they can fill their buckets! After they fill their buckets at the end of the week, students will earn a reward based on how many pom poms they have. This will help so much with classroom management.
I will also be using some of these resources to help with our writing and word workstations. I will use the primary composition journals as writing journals and the wobble stools and bean bag chairs for flexible seating! These tools will be so helpful during our reading centers so that my students can get their work done in an organized manner and learn how to be independent workers. The laminating pouches will help so much when I print out anchor charts for the writing station. Students will use these to follow directions while working on different skills. The mesh bags are going to be used for our word workstations. I have printed out flashcards and will be laminating them. Each of the card games will go into a pouch that students can use during word work time!
