My students work hard to develop their reading skills during reading intervention lessons. At the end of the week, I like to reward students who gave their best effort, completed all assignments, and followed classroom rules/expectations with a small prize. My students get very excited to choose from the "prize box" and look forward to it all week long!
I hope these rewards will motivate students to put forth their best effort during reading intervention lessons.
All of my students struggle with reading, so these prizes will help motivate them to persevere. While the prizes are just a small token of acknowledgement, I believe it is important to recognize students for exhibiting positive behavior and work ethic.
