Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a literary specialist, I work with students in grades 1 through 3 in reading groups. Every Friday, we like to provide incentives and rewards for participating and behaving while in group. They can earn points every day in order to get enough points for a reward on Friday.

I would like to use the reading games, learning materials, treats, stickers, and prizes as incentives and rewards for reading group students.

The supplies and games in groups will help with teaching and make learning more fun.

Our school serves students from lower economic households. We have some Hispanic non English students who are gradually learning English. Reading groups are very important for these students to learn needed skills.

I used to purchases incentives myself; however, with the current economy, I am unable to continue proving these rewards. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and very beneficial to the students.
