This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a Title I school, my students thrive on positive reinforcement and a nurturing environment. As a class, we have goals and expectations we are striving to achieve every day.
When students reach their goals they are recognized!
One way I like to recognize and celebrate their success is free choice. Free choice time excludes electronics to show them that there are other ways to interact and have fun with friends like games and MagnaTiles!
Another way I like to recognize their success is by giving them the freedom of flexible seating. Students have the choice between floor seating, cushions, and bean bag chairs. This is a great way to motivate students to keep achieving their goals!
