Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

At our school, 100% of our students are from low socio-economic backgrounds, and all receive free lunch. Some are new to the United States, and most are from immigrant families. 75% of our students are learning English as their second language and trying to balance that along with learning academic content.

My students are high achievers, many are gifted, and some have dual exceptionalities, being ESE and gifted.

I believe they have unlimited potential, and try to make sure they believe in themselves also!

My Project

Having positive behavior affects our students social-emotional well-being as well as their academic behavior. These snacks will be used as rewards for positive behavior in our school. Our students are learning to be heros and to have positive behavior in the classroom and in the hallways through a rewards system.

For many of our students, the school is their only model for positive behavior.

At our school our students are rewarded for positive behavior. Students receive points for positive behavior, then they can trade their points for rewards. These snacks are the rewards.
