My Project
My students are dedicated readers during choice reading time each day, but I find that they tend to stay within their comfort zone and reread the same books over and over. While I enjoy that, too, I believe they are missing out on expanding their vocabulary, experiencing new and different settings and characters, as well as pushing themselves to improve their reading skills.
I would like to offer prizes to students who are willing to branch out and read some new material.
These books are diverse and inclusive. I think students are going to find some new books to love and they are going to improve their reading skills.
