My Project

My school uses the PBIS program (Positive Behavior Incentive and Supports). This program is an evidence-based framework for supporting students in a myriad of ways – academic, behavioral, social, and emotional. The program strives to create a positive and safe learning environment for all. Positive behaviors are praised and students are rewarded. Student points are collected via the PBIS app, and then students can “spend” their points at the school store.

Students are beyond excited when they enter the school store and view the various items.

The items range from stress balls to motivational bracelets to bubbles and even board games. Many students are also learning the importance of saving in order to earn the higher point value items. Students are demonstrating positive, peaceful, and helpful behaviors, which in turn makes our school a wonderful place.
