Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My third-grade students are amazing. They have reached every goal I set for the class and meet individual goals at an awesome rate. Incentives and positive praise have helped avoid negative behavior choices. Most of my students come from a low socioeconomic background, and being rewarded brightens their days.
Incentivizing learning and positive behaviors and having students earn class points will create a positive classroom environment where students thrive.
With the amazing help of donors, I have been able to give my students a fun and safe learning space that allows them to be their best selves. Now, I hope to bring them an inventive way to earn prizes with 2 fun vending machines.
Students will earn points toward getting the chance to go to the vending machines for a variety of positive behaviors and academic incentives. Being kind and respectful, completing work, and being helpful are just a few ways to earn points. Once they earn a predetermined amount of points, they will be able to get a prize from one of the two machines. The machines will contain a variety of different prizes including toys and stickers.
