This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our Title I school is full of wonderful, kind, and caring students who come from all walks of life. Many of them participate in the free and reduced-priced breakfast and lunch program. Even though we have students who have a difficult time bringing the basic supplies to school, they come to school ready and eager to learn.
Our students enter the doors of our colorful school knowing that the staff is prepared to help them reach their potential of being college and career ready.
My Project
My students work very hard throughout the day to earn Flight Tickets for good behavior from staff members at our school. They earn their Flight Tickets by SOARing. They show Self-control, they are On task, have great Attitude, and are Respectful. They save up their Flight Tickets and eventually turn them in for some fun and exciting prizes like light up rings, erasers, squishy toys, and small toy cars. We are running low on prizes and since my students earn many tickets a week, we need to add some prizes to to the prize bin.
Good behavior and hard work deserve to be rewarded.
It is great to see my students get excited when it is time to turn in their Flight Tickets for that special prize or prizes they have been working so hard to get.
