My Project
My math classes are starting a new Positve Behavioral Interventions and Supports Program. Students will be able to earn points for showing kindness, respect and perseverance in reaching their learning goals! We are in need of items for our virtual PBIS store where students will be able to spend their earned points at the end of each month. Our goal for incorporating this program is to see an increase in positive behaviors and in academics during the last semester of the school year. The candy will be available in our virtual store for students to buy and the gift cards will be used at the end of the year awards assembly to recognize our top 3 point earners in each of my 3 math classes. I can't wait to see all of the many positive changes that focusing on our new PBIS program will bring into our math classroom these last 2 nine weeks of the school year.
I have a great group of 6th graders, and I love recognizing & rewarding them for their successes and good behaviors!
One of my favorite quotes is "Recognize What You Want to See More of!" (anonymous) It's my goal to focus more on the positive actions of my students as we come to the end of our school year together in hopes that more will want to receive the positive recognitions. All donations will help me build an awesome virtual PBIS store supply of rewards for our students to motivate them to work hard and be the best they can be these last 2 nine weeks of school.
