Our middle school is located in the center of Florida and has over 1,000 students. Our students come from diverse backgrounds, and many are bilingual.
While we are a Title 1 school and over 70% of our students are considered economically disadvantaged, we try to provide for all of their needs while at school so every student can be successful.
It is important that we recognize students, not just for academic success, but for demonstrating positive behavior and recognizing the positive impact it has on the school environment.
My Project
Rewards are in demand at our middle school because of PBIS. Students are rewarded with PBIS Dollars when they are caught demonstrating the schoolwide expectations – Respectful, Responsible and Safe! As students save their PBIS Dollars they have an opportunity to spend them in the PBIS Exchange on Wednesdays during lunchtime. And that’s why we need your help. Keeping the store stocked with items that middle school students want to purchase is essential.
Buying a Gatorade or a treat at lunch might not be a big deal to you, but for students with limited financial means these items mean a lot – especially to middle school students!
