This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a wonderful, tight-knit school in a poor, urban area. Our teachers do so much with so little and want all of our children to succeed! Our students come to school eager to learn and are excited to be there. My students come from high-poverty, high-crime areas.
One of the great things about our school is that it provides a place of stability for our students.
Our classroom is one where students thrive and feel secure.
Our students face obstacles that no child should ever face. They are resilient and strive to do their best every single day!
My Project
We are Responsible! Respectful! Safe! These are the expectations that our PBIS program uses to provide a consistent, schoolwide set of rules for students. Students who meet these expectations are given recognition points through the PBIS Rewards program, Bobcat Bucks, where they can exchange their "bucks" for tangible rewards.
Students love to go shopping in the PBIS store.
Once a week, they can turn their good behavior points into stickers, bouncy balls, stamps, gem kits, slap bracelets, and so much more! Help us restock our PBIS store shelves for our awesome students.
