My Students

Every single child in my classroom is capable of greatness! I teach a fully self-contained special education class of kindergarten through third grade students in Kaneohe. They are bright and kind and I think they are so fun to work with.

My Project

This year I am teaching special education in a fully self-contained classroom. My students are in kindergarten through third grade. Just like other kiddos, they love iPads! Students will earn tokens throughout the lesson and school day for appropriate behaviors, social skills, language, and academic work. They will have opportunities to turn in those tokens for time with reward items like LEGO’s, puzzles, and snacks. We are in need of bigger ticket items for when students do spectacularly and earn a LOT of tokens. iPad learning games are the perfect big ticket item for my learners.
