My students need a futon frame, rug, and coffee table to complete our cozy classroom! Each of these items will help make our classroom a more comfortable, better learning environment!
Our school is in the small, rural town of Hahira, Georgia. It's the kind of place where you cannot walk down the street without walking into someone you know, and we are blessed to be planted right in the heart of it.
My students are the light of my world--they are compassionate, curious, and driven to make a difference in the world around them.
No two days are the same, but it's always an adventure in the classroom. I cannot wait to see where they go from here!
My Project
We are ALMOST finished with our new world! We have tables on the way, a new futon (but we still need the frame) where kids can lounge when working, as well as a few other items on the way. This list contains the large majority of the remaining items needed. The items listed will bring us to near completion and ultimately maximize the comfort of our classroom. Hopefully, this will facilitate better learning. I want it to truly feel like a home rather than a classroom. We are requesting a rug to soften the hard flooring. In addition, we are in need of a futon frame (we already have the mattress). I cannot wait to see their faces when they walk into a truly flexible learning environment to meet their needs.
