Help me give my students engaging chapter books, at varying levels, to use in our guided groups to help meet our Social Studies standards (American Revolution).
This project expired on February 7, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My fifth graders come eager to learn each day, despite some of the challenges they face. My students represent a diverse group of children from all different backgrounds, socioeconomic levels, and languages spoken at home.
As both a Title One and magnet school, we are constantly trying to think of innovative ways to engage our students and provide our students with experiences they may not encounter otherwise.
We have amazing teachers, families, and students at our school who would greatly appreciate your support in their journey to become great engineers!
The titles selected will be used within our guided reading groups. Students will read some of the book independently, while some of the book will be read with the support of the group members or the teacher.
These books allow us to engage in interesting books, learn more about being an effective close reader through an authentic text, as well as understand more about our nation's beginnings - specifically, the American Revolution.
Each book has been carefully selected after researching quality books, reviews from other teachers and readers, as well as the level of each book in order to have a book at each of my reader's levels.
