This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We’re working on enhancing our 4th-grade library with a mix of books that will inspire our curious learners. Each student brings their own unique perspective, and these new stories will help foster a love for reading. To support our literacy goals, we’re planning to implement guided reading groups, which is why we need some comfy stools and caddies to keep things organized.
We’ll also be adding book pouches so students can take their favorite books home, and share their discoveries with family and friends.
Our goals are straightforward: improve reading comprehension, boost vocabulary, and encourage critical thinking skills. By offering a variety of genres and authors, we hope to create a welcoming reading culture in our classroom.
