My Students

A typical day in my classroom can be summarized as an ever-evolving mixing pot of creative ideas. Students are constantly working collaboratively to solve various engineering tasks.

My students are a very energetic and creative group.

They are constantly offering a unique perspective to any project. My school prides itself not only in it's academics, but also in it's athletics and various extra curricular activities. We as a faculty believe in providing as many opportunities to our student body as possible.

My Project

It is through this project that my students will be able to reverse engineering any mechanical object within a certain size. They will be able to analyze the device and attempt to recreate or improve. My students will learn the process of product development. They will begin to fully understand how things develop and improve over time via reverse engineering. This will all be accomplished through Makerbot's 3D scanner. The 3D scanner has the ability to scan small objects and transfer that data into a digital 3D model. My students will then be able to manipulate and modify that 3d model as they see fit for their assigned task.

This project will prove beneficial because it will be an important tool to reinforce various content areas such as science, technology, engineering, and math.

This will increase the interest in pursuing these fields in college.
