My students need a Master Teaching Artist from Alvin Ailey's "Arts in Education" program to explore Alvin Ailey's signature work "Revelations" in a 14 week residency.

My Students

Art has the power to change students' lives! My school was built upon the idea that not all students learn the same way and talent should be cultivated.

My students have an innate passion for the Arts and utilize it in every aspect of their lives.

All of my students share a very special talent for the art of Dance. They continually practice their technique through daily classes while simultaneously developing their minds as young artists. My students are part of the next generation of creative beings to enter into society.

My Project

Ailey Arts In Education & Community Programs will conduct a dance residency that offers students of the Dance Department an opportunity to explore Alvin Ailey's signature work, Revelations, in relation to subjects like Dance, English Language Arts and Social Studies. Students will also learn excerpts inspired by Alvin Ailey's choreography which culminate in a final performance.

This project will greatly impact the lives of my students by providing them with the experience of working with a professional Alvin Ailey teaching artist.

Your donation will help fund this once in a lifetime opportunity for my talented young dancers. All contributions are greatly appreciated.
