This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Serving the ethnically and economically diverse community of East San Jose, our school strengthens leaders in our society by providing our students and neighborhood a 21st century education with an emphasis in business and communications. Students, staff, and families will be innovative and collaborative entrepreneurs who are passionate about recognizing and meeting the diverse needs of their community.

Our school library has not been used in over 1 year!

Our students are excited and surprised to finally see the library door open.

My Project

Donations for this project will help revamp our school library. The library needs more inviting and flexible seating, where the students can be comfortable while gaining knowledge by reading Non Fiction, and escaping into the fiction books.

Today, the students are coming into the library and reading books on wooden chairs and at the computer stations.

By adding comfortable bean bag chairs and a sofa will create a more welcoming environment, inspiring and encouraging the students to read books for pleasure and become better readers.
