The First Grade teachers have big hearts for our 175 young learners coming into school each year. Many of our students are considered high risk, coming from low income or poverty stricken home, many who are English Learners themselves, and have hurdles to jump over before they make it to school in the morning. But that does not stop them.
Our First Grade is full of bright, excited, amazing, little learners with big ideas and huge hearts.
They want to learn to read, they want to learn to write, and they want to learn math. So much starts with phonics, with reading, with the foundational gift of literacy.
My Project
We’ve been working hard at making our classroom be very organized as well as clean so the room feels inviting. Many of our stage bins have just been around for too many years and need a fresh look. We’re working hard at keeping our kids at school and healthy, as well as being excited to be back at school. New, matching, organized bins will help the kids to see the tools they have to use in our room for reading, writing, math, science, art, and more. Thank you so much for investing into our classroom!
