Fearless Fourth Graders!

My large class of diverse learners thrive in an environment where they can ask questions, where they are challenged, and where they feel safe, respected, and comfortable.

My students are creative, thoughtful, resilient, and compassionate, with such bright futures ahead of them!

Although this year presents many unprecedented challenges and uncertainties, we are excited to come together virtually through Distance Learning. In our class, we approach every opportunity as a place to learn and grow, and Distance Learning is just one example of this.

We are so excited to see where our learning will take us this year!

My Project

As we are preparing to start in-person and hybrid learning, one thing that has been on my mind is the importance of having an engaging classroom library! To help students have access to books during distance learning, I gave away many of our classroom books for my students to keep and read at home. While this has allowed my students to keep growing and progressing as readers, it also means that our class is in need of some new books in our classroom library!

Having engaging, exciting, and relatable books draws students in as readers.

Books can be windows to a brand new world, or they can be mirrors to my students own lives. Reading has the power to change children's lives, and being able to provide my students with high quality books is one important step in that direction!
