This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is a collection of classroom upgrades and necessities that will help us start the year fresh! This project includes a variety of different things, such as updated technology accessories and flexible seating and organization. The headphones and mice will be use to accompany student chrome books during learning activities and projects. The mice will allow students to access parts of their computer that often can be frustrating for them on a Chromebook (right clicking, click and drag features, etc).
Updated flexible seating and classroom appearance will make our room feel warm and welcoming to learn in different ways.
The organizers will be used to house makerspace materials for students to use during the day for projects. The organizer also doubles as extra seating in the classroom during flexible working time. Many students prefer to sit on the floor during independent work time, so the cushions will allow them to be more comfortable when working around the room. The string lights will be added to what we currently have up in the room creating a cozier learning space. The organizer pockets will be used to store the mice and the cart will be used to help organize materials during small group instruction.
