Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a low-income area. A large portion of my students have social and financial problems. Most of these students are bilingual and receive free lunch. They struggle to bring in supplies and often struggle to pay and attend events.
My students are good children from low-income families that deserve the tools necessary to help them prepare for their future; with all the obstacles facing my students, school supplies should not be one of them.
They are hard workers who strive to produce work, and lack the supplies to do so.
My Project
I continuously encourage my students to eat healthy and drink plenty of water. I would love to give my students reusable water bottles as I am also always trying to encourage my students to use less plastic! With this project, I would be able to provide my students with water bottles that they can reuse and refill time and time again! Most of my students receive free lunch and breakfast but, if they do not come to school on time or do not like the food served that day, they are left with limited options. This project would allow my students to get their hands on some healthy snacks or granola bars when the lunch menu just isn't cutting it!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
