My Students
I want my students to be aware of reducing their carbon footprint, that's why I'm doing this project in honor of Earth Day. It is so important to prevent plastic pollution!
My students are caring children, who love celebrating the world we live in.
They care about each other and the planet. They work hard at preventing waste throughout the day, and encourage others to do so as well. Their families come from low income homes, where recycling and other reusable resources are not always a priority.
My Project
With the water bottles I am requesting, my students will create their very own reusable water bottle that they can use in class everyday. In order to pay it forward, I am also requesting an additional 30 water bottles to decorate for a second grade classroom. My students will use the sharpies to decorate the stainless steel bottles with fun designs, and reminders about reducing waste. In addition to the stainless steel bottles, My students will also be given reusable bpa free plastic bottles to decorate for any other students in the school building.
With Earth Day coming soon, I feel it is important for my students to help reduce their carbon footprint as much as possible.
I know these project resources will inspire future students, as well as their teachers in helping to prevent plastic pollution!
