Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a diverse population of students, including honors, special education, and English language learners from many different cultural backgrounds and with different educational needs. We are a Title I school, meaning students come from lower socio-economic circumstances. I teach mathematics to three seventh-grade classes yearly, with thirty students in each class. I teach many newcomer students who just came over, have little to no supplies, and need a lot of support.
Basic supplies are the key to success in the math classroom!
These supplies are to help my students have an inviting and friendly learning environment to learn and be part of my classroom! We go through about 100 pencils every week. Pencils and snacks are a huge need in my classroom. The hand sanitizer will help us keep our hands germ free. The hooks will be used to hang things around the classroom. The tripod will be used for events in our auditorium.
