The materials I’m requesting—salt, sugar, Ziploc bags, chalk, and Sharpies—are essential for hands-on science experiments that help bring learning to life. Salt and sugar allow my students to explore concepts like solubility, crystallization, and chemical reactions. Ziploc bags make it possible to conduct mess-free experiments, like observing changes in matter and creating mini ecosystems. Chalk helps with outdoor science activities and illustrating concepts like erosion and weathering. Sharpies allow students to label materials, make observations, and record data in a way that keeps our experiments organized. These simple supplies are the foundation for engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences!
My goal is to ensure that my students have access to the materials they need for hands-on, engaging science lessons.
By restocking our lab, I can continue providing experiments that spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and make abstract concepts more concrete. I want my students to develop a love for science, practice problem-solving, and see themselves as scientists through active participation in experiments.
My students are curious, creative, and eager to learn through exploration. They thrive when given the opportunity to experiment and engage with science in a meaningful way. Many of them learn best by doing, and these labs give them the chance to apply their knowledge in real-world ways. Their enthusiasm for discovery is contagious, and I want to continue providing them with experiences that inspire their love for learning. Despite any challenges they face, they are hardworking and excited to dive into hands-on science whenever given the opportunity!
