My students need fundamental supplies to ensure that next school year is a successful one! We are asking for a toner for our printer, pencils, a pencil shaper, a hole puncher and a new stapler.
My classroom is a place where students are encouraged to explore, create and discover math in a deeper, more meaningful way. In class, we are consistently making connections to real-world problems to mathematics. Throughout my experience in education, I have discovered students need to understand the relevance of the math they are learning in their own lives in order to take ownership of their learning. My goal is to spark interest and give math meaning for my middle school students.
My students are creative, motivated and have a genuine interest to learn and explore mathematics.
Our classroom community is of all races, religions and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a teacher, each day brings new challenges but also a new opportunity to learn something new.
My Project
As the school year comes to an end, so do the number of supplies we have available for our students in our classroom. My wish is to ensure that next school year is just as a successful as this one was. To accomplish this, there are some basic supplies we need to provide to our students in order for our classroom to function properly.
Our students need whiteboard markers, sharp pencils, and consumable worksheets in order to reach their full potential and become fully engaged in the math content.
For our classroom, we are asking for a few essential classroom resources. The first is toner. Toner would allow us to continue to create individualized study materials for each student in our class next year. By individualizing student work, we provide students the opportunity to obtain an enriched experience in math class. In addition, our classroom needs to replace the stapler, the pencil sharpener, a hole puncher and the pencil and staple supply. By providing students with these fundamental supplies, we will be able to give the students the education they truly want and deserve!
