My Project

In order to engage students in wanting to earn points for their good behavior, we have to keep high incentive prizes for them to purchase from the school store. We call the store PRIDE because it stands for character traits that are important to NMS. PRIDE stands for: Participation, Respect, Integrity, Determination, Excellence in all you do.

When any staff member sees a student exemplifying these behaviors, they can give them points in our online system.

Once a week on Fridays they are able to redeem these points for fun prizes like snacks, candy, stress toys, fidgets, supplies, toys, etc.

It has made a huge impact on student behavior, attendance and morale for our students. They look forward to Fridays where they can get fresh popped popcorn from our popcorn machine, or get a treat, or save up and spend their points on bigger rewards!
