Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My work as a school psychologist involves parent and teacher consultations, observations, special education evaluations and meetings, collaboration with other student support staff, as well as writing reports and creating resources for students to use. The requested supplies provide the tools needed to effectively execute in the various components that I am engaged in to promote student success. There is a lot of writing and documentation that goes along with how I support students and the requested items are ones that are used to help students get the services and support that they need.

These items are essential to ensure that students get the support they need in school to continue to thrive.

The toner cartridges will allow me to print the reports and documentation needed to help students get the individualized academic, social-emotional and behavioral support they need. It also allows me to print behavior plans and visual resources used to help students with their emotional regulation skills. The hanging files and file folders allow for student's confidential reports to be stored securely protecting their privacy. The dry erase markers are used during small groups and allows students to write and draw about the social-emotional skills they have been learning.
