Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I provide period packs to girls in need, so the pads, tampons, wipes and bags will be used for that. The students will use these items for personal hygiene. The ink will used for the classroom printer so my students can print their projects in color. Some examples are Basic Spanish conversation cartoons, daily routines in Spanish, and poems in Spanish. The paper, paint, markers will be used to make banners and posters for Mental Health week and Kindness week that will be for the whole school. The tissue paper will be used to make colorful flowers and the orange tissue will be used by the students to make an alter for Day of the Dead as it it is a cultural aspect of my Spanish class. I teach an enrichment class once a week during our intervention time as a reward. The students get to use my Cricut machine and make different crafts. The cardstock and cups will be used to make crafts. The cups, the students can design their name in vinyl and cut and put it on the cup.

I love my students' willingness and sacrifice to make these crafts on their own time.

My students are selfless and creative leaders. My students love to create and make things; we just need the materials for their creativity to flow. My students and the members of National Honor Society and Spanish club will enjoy using all the materials. Thank you for your continued support.
