This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a hard-working bunch who have been utilizing their supplies diligently and to their useful end.
Small children often go through supplies quickly, so now is the time to replace and replenish our stock of markers, both dry erase and chalk paint ones, as well as folders for reading materials.
Students will be practicing reading and reciting well-known poems and nursery rhymes, conveniently collected in a pocket folder for them to practice building oral language and print concepts skills. Each student has their own folder of poems for both individual and partner practice.
During writing workshop, students work on making their own booklets for their stories, adding or rearranging their pages, and the staple-free staplers will be very useful in that task.
