Responsibility and a Class Pet!
My students need a bigger fish tank and supplies for the class pet we earned for good behavior!
Do remember having a class pet when you were a child? This is the first year I have allowed my students to have a class pet and the tank we have his broken and too small for our adult betta fish.
My students worked very hard to earn a class pet.
With allergies and other restrictions, we decided to get a betta fish. They earned the class and wrote a persuasive essay convinced me what type of fish to get. Now that we have him, his tank is just too small and we are worried that he doesn't have enough room!
I am requesting most of the necessary materials to have a betta fish in our classroom. We have a few things already, but not enough. The only spot available to keep our fish is right below the air conditioning vent so the water is just too cold for him. The tank we have is also a recycled tank so the filter is broken and unusable. We need new supplies to make sure our fish is safe and healthy.
These materials will make a difference because we are learning to be responsible.
Each day someone has to feed the fish and students have to help clean and maintain the tank as well. Even fish require a lot of supplies! Please help us get what we need for our class pet!
