Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, students work in small groups throughout the day for various subjects. The lap desks will be beneficial in helping students maintain good posture and produce quality work while working on the rug. This type of flexible seating allows students to move about the room and sit where they can be most productive. In addition, we play music throughout the day, as my students prefer to work with sound. The Echo dot will allow for the sound to play efficiently throughout the room and give easy access to changing tunes. We can also use the Dot as a learning tool. Students are working on enhancing their nonfiction reading comprehension and vocabulary, and love the National Geographic readers, so adding a few more to our collection will be great! Lastly, pencil sharpeners, staplers, and headphones are in constant use in our room and we always need to replenish these items. Students are given the responsibility to use these items wisely, but they do break down through wear and tear.
