Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

First-grade students need resources about our planet to build a strong foundation in environmental awareness and scientific curiosity. At this age, children are naturally curious and eager to learn about the world around them. Providing age-appropriate books, videos, and hands-on activities helps them understand important concepts like land, water, weather, animals, and plants. These resources also teach them about caring for the Earth, recycling, and protecting nature. Early exposure encourages lifelong habits of responsibility and respect for the environment. By learning about our planet now, first graders can grow into thoughtful, informed individuals who value and protect the world they live in.
