This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As I return back to teaching, I'm preparing for a very different year! My 2020-2021 kindergarten students and I are going to need resources and materials to work from home! My students come from a high-poverty area with very limited resources already, and COVID-19 has added greater impact. As we start the school year off with distance learning, we have to make the best of it.... and that means being prepared!
I want to effectively welcome my new kindergartners with the tools that we'll need to give them the best distance learning education possible!
My Project
Distance learning may still be our future next school year. With inconsistent budgeting, I want to be able to make sure my students are off to an amazing start with supplies! In-person or virtual, students still need lots of supplies!
With the majority of our students being low income, I want to make sure to set them up for success.
These supplies will be used heavily through the year. Notebooks, pens and crayons are always an essential piece of a classroom to build beautiful pieces of writing on a daily basis. Folders are huge piece of organization and hooray for a long reach stapler to make sure we can present our beautifully written stories!
