This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are very enthusiastic to write however they need the necessary supplies to motivate them through their writing. Times are hard and they often come to school without the materials they need in order to produce school work. By implementing the Writer's Workshop model and providing essential writing tools, my students will begin to see themselves as true authors and illustrators. Having a pencil case, pencils, and erasers will facilitate their writing. I would like to have the materials they need to label and staple their work to keep it organized. We will use these materials to aid us in the process of becoming life-long writers. As the teacher, I have done extensive research and reading on Writer's Workshop in the primary grades. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
