Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I serve a variety of students with various abilities and disabilities. They can do amazing things. All they need is accommodations and support to help them. Many of my students have difficulty speaking or may be hard to understand. They use devices and picture boards to communicate.

With these resources, I can make materials to help students learn how to use their AAC devices and boards to communicate.

This includes 3D printed materials for their devices, and other tactile pieces for students who also have visual impairments. I also plan on making file folder games using the velco and other office supplies that can be used to practice communication as well as academics! In addition, the fun Ned’s head game is another activity the students will be engaged in and not even know they are learning.
