My students need supplies like new, durable folders, pencils, glue sticks, and high lighters for our guided reading groups. The Math War game will be a great game to play to help reinforce our fact fluency!
My students are creative, hardworking, and have lots of energy. They like to be active while learning and completing work in different spots around the room, and they also love lots of positive attention and reinforcements. From the minute my students walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and individual growth, and I work hard to instill a passion for learning in each and every one of them.
As a special education teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
My students have a wide range of abilities. Some of them are students with autism, some have ADHD, and others have a specific learning disability. However, despite the many challenges they face, I am continuously impressed with their resiliency, sense of humor, and their curiosity. My goal is to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
My students use pencils, highlighters, and glue sticks almost every day in our room, so they get used up rather quickly!
Keeping our work organized and easily accessible has been something my students have been working on all year long.
My hard-working students have been storing their work in folders that have seen better days! The corners are torn, and the pockets have been ripped from daily use- having more durable folders will help my students keep their work more organized in a place that will hopefully last the whole year!
The binder clips and Post-it notes will help me keep my students work samples and data organized and easily accessible during parent meetings and conferences.
