My Students

I teach middle school science to a total of 250 students. Most of these students come from homes where their parents do not speak English. They are diverse in their home language, race, socioeconomic level, and special needs. They want to succeed but sometimes do not have the resources to accomplish their goals. My students have a lot of creativity and imagination and have the potential to achieve in the future. With the importance of STEM education, students need more opportunities to interact with various projects. During this uncertain time, I would like to provide them an opportunity for hands-on learning.

My Project

I'm a strong believer of learning through inquiry. Using these supplies will help students learn about the importance of living a strong and healthy lifestyle. After staying in distance learning, students need help in developing a healthy lifestyle. The magic mouse and USB-c adapters will help with presenting their projects to class using our brand new laptop. The post its will be used to display their thought processes when planning their projects. The timers will be used for various exercises and the batteries will help give power to our timers and thermometers that need new batteries.
